UPDATE: Teenager airlifted after crash into tree
Update, 3pm: A 17-YEAR-OLD has been airlifted to Brisbane after he crashed his car into a tree.
The Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter airlifted the 17-year-old teenager following the single vehicle crash near Nanango.
It's believed the car the teenager was driving crashed down a ditch and into a tree in the early hours of this morning.
The Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) transported the teen to Nanango Hospital, where they were met by the Sunshine Coast RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter.
A LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor treated the 17-year-old for suspected head, neck and chest injuries, before the aeromedical crew airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Earlier: A MAN is in a serious condition following a truck and car crash just outside of Kingaroy.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said the crash occurred on Ellesmere Rd, Ellesmere just before 7.42am.
"There was one young adult male patient reported entrapped in a vehicle," the spokeswoman said.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services Spokeswoman said two fire crews attended the scene of the crash.
"On arrival at the incident it was evident there was a truck and car involved in a road traffic crash," the spokeswoman said.
"A person was required to be extracted from the vehicle, and they were released at 8.22am.
"The Queensland Police Service is on scene and organising for a tow truck to come."
The Ambulance spokeswoman said the young man was in a serious condition.
"He's being transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a serious condition with chest injuries," she said.
"A helicopter has been tasked to the Kingaroy Hospital to do an inter-hospital transfer."
Another man is also in a critical condition after a car crash into a tree in Blackbutt this morning.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the crash occurred on Thursday morning in Blackbutt.
"At 5.13am paramedics were called to a private residence following reports a male in his late teens required assessment after a single vehicle crash into a tree at another location," the spokesperson said.
"He was transported by road in a critical condition with a head injury to Nanango Hospital.
"(He was then) airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital."

Paramedics also attended to another single vehicle crash on Wednesday night.
The spokesperson said emergency services attended a crash at Wooroolin at 6.25pm on Wednesday night.
"A man was transported in a stable condition to Kingaroy Hospital after a single vehicle crash on the Bunya Highway at about 6.25pm," the spokesperson said.
