Man missing from Noosa could have headed west

A RENEWED call for information on missing man Ricky Gardner has been issued by police.

The 37-year-old has not been seen since he entered the water at Main Beach on Hastings St in Noosa about 12.30am on January 9.

It was unknown whether Mr Gardner made it back to shore or exited the water safely.

An extensive search failed to locate him.

Police have since received information that Mr Gardner may be in the Crows Nest area, north of Toowoomba, however they have been unable to confirm this.

Mr Gardner is described as Caucasian, about 178cm tall, with a slim build and light complexion.

It is unknown what he was wearing at the time of going missing.
