Man stabbed in back at Bellbird Park

POLICE investigations into a stabbing at Bellbird Park at the weekend in which a man and woman sustained injuries are continuing.

Emergency services were alerted to the incident on Saturday at 4.30pm at an address in Marlborough Street.

During the altercation a man, 54, was stabbed in the back with a knife.

He was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.

A woman, 46, sustained a minor head injury in the altercation and was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment.

Police said the pair are known to each other.

No charges have yet been laid.

Investigations into the circumstances which led to the stabbing are continuing.
