Man stabbed in chest at Caboolture

LATEST: DETECTIVES have charged a man following an alleged stabbing incident at Caboolture in the early hours of Wednesday morning.

It will be alleged that around 2am two men became involved in an argument at a Kipling St address.

As a result it will further be alleged a 29-year-old man suffered a stab wound to the upper torso.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to Caboolture Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The alleged offender then fled on foot but was located a short time later and taken into custody.

A 28-year-old Caboolture man has been charged with one count each of wounding and wilful damage.

He will appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court this morning.

INITIAL REPORT: A MAN in his 30s received a stab wound at a home in Caboolture overnight.

Emergency services were called to a Kipling St address about 2am to reports a man had been stabbed in the chest.

A crime scene was established at the home and police have since taken a man into custody who is helping them with their enquiries.

The injured man was taken to Caboolture hospital in a stable condition.
