Mercedes-Benz V-Class will start from $85,500
MERCEDES-BENZ will launch the new V-Class people-mover from $85,500 when it officially goes on sale in July.
The German marque claims the eight-seater "sets an emotional highlight in its segment".
It will be powered by a 2.1-litre turbocharged four-cylinder which generates 140kW and 440Nm.
During acceleration phases 'overtorque' is available, and provides an additional 10 kW and 40Nm, resulting in a maximum output of 150kW and 480Nm, and acceleration from 0-100kmh in 9.1 seconds.
With reduced fuel consumption of 6.3L/100 kms (166 g CO2/km), the four-cylinder turbodiesel requires significantly less fuel than the six-cylinder it replaces, while maintaining the same standard of performance.
The V 250 BlueTEC engine is also the first vehicle in the segment to comply with Euro 6 emission standards and is equipped with a seven-speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted shift paddles.
