How well does the average Australian know southwest Queensland?
This was put to the test in a recent episode of Nine’s Millionaire Hotseat when contestants were asked what a name of a major outback town was.
Host Eddie McGuire asked contestants, “Approximately 400km west of Brisbane is the Queensland town of ‘St’ what?”
Positioned 442km west of the Brisbane CBD directly, or 496km by road, the answer was the town of ‘St George’.
With the other options of ‘St John’, ‘St Paul’, and even ‘St Ringo’, two of the six contestants got the answer right on March 4.
