NSW's most wanted faces Bundaberg court to be extradited

A MAN listed on a Crime Stoppers most wanted list has appeared in the Bundaberg Magistrates Court after being found by police in Bundaberg on Saturday.

Andrew Mark Roos, 36, was wanted by New South Wales police in relation to sexual and indecent assault offences.

The matter was listed for mention yesterday but was adjourned until tomorrow to allow New South Wales police time to arrive before the extradition warrant could be heard.

Bundaberg Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Glenn Cameron said Bundaberg police liaised with New South Wales detectives and as a result of information received were able to find Roos.

"On Saturday Bundaberg detectives attended a Millbank address after receiving information as a result of the Crime Stoppers Operation Roam," he said.

"At this time police have located a 36-year-old male person from New South Wales. Detectives arrested this male."

On August 17 the joint national Operation Roam was launched between Crime Stoppers and all police jurisdictions around Australia.

Roos was one of 20 suspects listed who were thought to have fled interstate.
