
Teen allegedly struck, bit and spat at a police officer
A MAN accused of spitting in a police officer's face has not applied for bail two days after being arrested.
Mikhail Kassiou, 18, was arrested in Mooloolaba on Saturday evening.
Police will allege he spat in the face of an officer, bit an officer and struck an officer during the arrest.
Kassiou's charges included three counts of serious assault of police, two public nuisance offences and one count each of threatening violence at night, obstructing police and common assault.
He was remanded in custody after his matters were mentioned in Maroochydore Magistrates Court on Monday.
His matters are next due for mention on February 27.
