Plume of smoke backdrops Maranoa skies

RESIDENTS across the Maranoa Region may have seen a massive cloud of smoke dominate the western skies.

The plume can be seen from Roma, and further north at East Bymount and Injune.

A Queensland Fire and Emergency Service spokeswoman said there are currently permitted burns being carried out at Bymount today on October 16.
