Police locate 88-year-old woman missing overnight

UPDATE 11.30AM: Police safely located the missing woman about 10am in Parkhurst. 

It is believed the woman had spent the night in a truck compound in the area. 

A police spokesperson said she was unharmed and had returned to her family. 

EARLIER: POLICE are appealing for information about an 88-year-old woman who was last seen around 4pm yesterday afternoon. 

A police spokesperson said the woman suffers from dementia and has been known to walk to Yeppoon in the past. 

Police have strong concerns for the woman's welfare. 

She was last seen in Ford St, Frenchville on Saturday afternoon.
