Project WASTID holds photo competition
PROJECT WASTID will be holding a photography competition after holding classes on the weekend.
Senior Constable Sarah Grayson is organising the comp, with a closing day of Friday, August 19.
The brief is a pic that makes you feel good, reflecting Project WASTID’s focus on doing good activities.
Then you need to get it printed, bring it to the station and put your details on the back.
Judging will be done after the middle of August by Katrina Lehman, Darren McMahon-Flanagan and Sgt Greg Dwyer, all avid photographers.
The winner gets a new camera, and their photo published on the front of the Western Times (with attribution and permission).
Snr Const Grayson said the kids learned the basics of good photography, and some good tricks like using lines, good framing and light.
Then they were dispatched around the school to put the lessons into practice.
