Roma bottle-o completes $5 million supermarket redevelopment
The opening of a bottle-o marks the completion of the a $5 million supermarket redevelopment in Roma.
The opening of the Thirsty Camel finalises the two month development from the old Cornetts IGA complex to the new and improved one that opened last week.
Thirsty Camel Roma is owned and operated by the owners of the Royal on Ninety-Nine, The Waratah Group, who purchased the hotel from the Garvie family in November 2020.
The owners say the latest opening further solidifies their interest and commitment to the Maranoa region.
Located within the new Cornetts IGA complex, the bottle shop is open seven days a week, offering convenience, parking and a walk-in coolroom.
“It’s been a major feat moving all of the stock into the premises, and we’re really proud of the wide range of beers, wines and spirits we stock,” Manager Mervyn Sewell said.
“It’s been a great pleasure to meet so many Roma locals over the last week who have popped their heads in, offering encouragement, as we have been building out the shop.”
Thirsty Camel Roma opened on Thursday, March 25 at 73 Arthur Street, Roma.
