Samsung unveils Galaxy Book and Galaxy Tab S3 pricing
SAMSUNG is hoping to give Apple's new iPad a run for its money with the launch of the Galaxy Book and Galaxy Tab S3.
The Galaxy Book is available in a 10.6-inch and 12-inch variant, whilst the Galaxy Tab S3 comes with a 9.7-inch variant.
Both models will be available with 4G connected capability and have been calibrated for a great experience on Australian networks, Samsung says.
The ranges cater for both Android and Windows platforms.
The Galaxy Book range operates with Microsoft Windows 10 and is designed to support user productivity and creativity and will be offered together with Samsung's esteemed S-Pen and comfortable keyboard.
It's most likely to go head to head with the Microsoft Surface range.
The Galaxy Tab S3 operates on Android and, and features a Super AMOLED display and quad-stereo speakers.
In addition, Australians will also have the option to purchase a special edition classic Staedtler pencil.
The refined S Pen has a reduced 0.7mm tip and up to 4096 pressure level sensitivity.
It also includes PDF Annotation for easy editing and professional-level drawing with Advanced Drawing Tools.
Samsung says it has also worked closely with Staedtler to develop the Noris Digital stylus, which delivers all the benefits of the S Pen with the look and feel of a real pencil.
When it comes to HDR video, the Galaxy Book 12-inch and Galaxy Tab S3 support videos in HDR (10-bit coloured) for true-to-life colours and vivid pictures.
For gamers, there is Game Launcher and Galaxy Game Pack promising vivid and superior graphic technology and convenient gaming modifications from Vulkan API on the Galaxy Tab S3.

Samsung Galaxy Book
The Galaxy Book is a lightweight 2-in-1 tablet, with a large 12 inch screen and comfortable keyboard.
Built for the Windows 10 operating system, the Galaxy Book offers the full desktop Microsoft Office experience.
For users looking for a more powerful tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Book 12-inch is equipped with a 7th Generation Intel® Core™ i5 processor, Dual Core 3.1GHz and the 10.6-inch with an Intel® Core™ m3 processor, Dual core 2.6GHz.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S3
The Galaxy Tab S3 is a 9.7 inch entertainment focused table, experience cinematic vision and sound on the go with the Super AMOLED display and quad-stereo speakers.
The Samsung Galaxy Book and Galaxy Tab S3 will be available locally from the Samsung eStore www.samsung.com.au and Samsung Experience Stores from July 28.
Carrier plans will be announced soon.
Customers who order the Galaxy Book before the 12th September will receive a complimentary Staedtler Pen and Samsung Multiport adapter valued at RRP $198.
Australian pricing ranges from $949 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 to $2299 for the 12 inch Samsung Galaxy Book with 256GB and 4G connectivity.
