Search for Tiffany Taylor shifts after tip off
POLICE and SES volunteers are scouring bushland near Wivenhoe for the remains of Tiffany Taylor, after a woman reported seeing a body beside the Brisbane Valley Highway earlier this month.
Tiffany, 16, was five months pregnant when she went missing from the Waterford West motel she was living in with her boyfriend on July 12.
The teenager was offering sexual services online and was last sighted when she went to meet 60-year-old Rodney Wayne Williams that day.
On Saturday, the search area moved about 10 kilometres north, following the tip-off from the woman who may have sighted the 16-year-old's body near the Twin Bridges Reserve, Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Grant Ralston said.
"(There was) potentially something there," he told reporters at the scene.
