UPDATE: A jack-knifing semi-trailer has collided with a car and another truck in a terrifying Bruce Hwy crash. 

This morning's 7km traffic crawl was just clearing when the three vehicles smashed in the southbound lanes, just south of the Caloundra Rd interchange.

All three drivers have escaped serious injury. 

Traffic is in gridlock past the Caloundra interchange and along Caloundra Rd back to the Caloundra-Mooloolaba Rd roundabout.

BREAKING: Two trucks and a car have collided in heavy traffic congestion on the Bruce Hwy this morning.

Paramedics rushed to the scene after the 000 call at 10.19am, and have checked over the two truck drivers. 

Neither sustained injuries in the crash. 

Paramedics are still assessing the driver of the car. 

Traffic is slowly passing the crash scene.
