Shoppers find a bag of drugs at Westlands Plaza

Police are currently investigating after a satchel, containing what they believe is methamphetamine, was found on the ground in the Westlands Plaza.

Just after 11am on Friday, March 12, two men handed in the sealed bag to Roma Police after they found it on the ground near the entrance of the Plaza, near the bottle shop.

They saw the bag on the mat, picked it up and handed it straight to officers, sergeant Chris Keenan from Roma Police said.

The bag, believed to be containing methamphetamine, weighed 1.4 grams.

Officers are currently investigating the matter.
