UPDATE 3:15PM: The metal box found in a dam in Kingston this morning has been opened, revealing two human bodies. 

Detectives investigating the suspected murder of Cory Breton and Iuliana Triscaru this morning discovered the large metal box from a dam on Mudgee Street in Kingston.

Authorities took the box to John Tonge Centre this afternoon for examination.

The box was subsequently opened and found to contain the remains of two people.

The remains will be subject to post mortem examinations and positive identification.

Police are still seeking information on a dark green Toyota Hilux.

UPDATE 3PM: LOGAN detectives investigating the homicide of Cory Breton and Iuliana Triscaru are appealing to the public for information on a vehicle and ratchet straps, after discovering a suspicious box in a dam this morning. 

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen a dark green 1999 Toyota Hilux utility with Queensland registration 684 VEP (pictured) somewhere in the vicinity of Bega Road, Eurora Street and Mudgee Street on the evening of January 24 to contact Crime Stoppers.

Police are also seeking two fluorescent yellow ratchet straps believed to have been disposed of somewhere along 3rd Avenue in Marsden on January 25.

Anyone with any information regarding the vehicle, straps or who may have any information that may assist with this investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1 800 333 000. Reports to Crime Stoppers can be made anonymously.

EARLIER 1:25PM: Police searching a dam for the bodies of Logan pair Cory Breton and Iuliana Triscaru have discovered a box, as six people, including a mother-of-seven, faced court charged with their murders.

The box was pulled from the dam on a vacant lot in Logan on Thursday morning, where police dogs and divers had been searching for the pair since Wednesday.

Police would not confirm reports it contained two bodies.

Investigators say they are still working to determine if the box is linked to the presumed deaths of Mr Breton and Ms Triscaru.

The discovery came as six people, including a 36-year-old mother-of-seven, faced Brisbane Magistrates Court charged with the pair's murders.

SIX people have been charged with murder following an investigation into the disappearance of Corey Breton and Iuliana Triscaru in Logan.

Two men were arrested after police intercepted a BMW on the Gateway Motorway at Belmont just before 5pm on Wednesday.

Police allegedly located a quantity of methylamphetamine during a search of the vehicle.

A search operation conducted by specialist police will be continuing on Thursday at a location off Mudgee Street, Kingston.

A 24-year-old Logan Central man, a 36-year-old Crestmead woman, a 31-year-old Crestmead man, a 21-year-old Kingston man, a 22-year-old man of no fixed address and a 21-year-old Slacks Creek man have all been charged with two counts of murder.

The Slacks Creek man has also been charged with one count of possessing a dangerous drug.

They are all expected to appear at the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

During a press conference with family on Tuesday, police said the trio were known to each other and it had been believed they were travelling together, the ABC reported.

Their bank accounts had not been accessed since they disappeared on January 24.

Ms Triscaru's mother said her daughter disappeared the day before her children - aged 11, 6 and 4 - were due to start school.

"I miss her - a very good girl ... very good mum and the kids all night crying," her mother, who did not want to be named, said.

"I'd be happy [for] just one call ... [saying] 'I'm still alive'."
