Socceroo Dario Vidosic joins Wanderers
WESTERN Sydney has added the final piece to its A-League roster puzzle for the coming season, signing Socceroos attacker Dario Vidosic on a two-year deal.
Prompted by the team's slide down the table last season, Wanderers coach Tony Popovic embarked on the biggest clean-out in A-League history, with 18 players either axed or allowed to leave, including Tomi Juric, Ante Covic, Iacopo La Rocca, Antony Golec, Matthew Spiranovic, Mateo Poljak and Labinot Haliti.
Chief executive John Tsatimas said securing Vidosic (pictured), the club's second marquee signing after Italian striker Federico Piovaccari, would be Western Sydney's final major piece of business in the transfer window.
It was unclear whether Vidosic would line up in the FFA Cup quarter-final with Perth Glory next week. The quarters kick off tonight with Hume City at home to Oakleigh and Melbourne Victory hosting Adelaide United.
