Spinner Fawad Ahmed reminds the selectors of what he can do

LEG-spinner Fawad Ahmed did his chances of making his Test debut no harm, picking up two wickets on day one of Australia's tour match against the West Indies President's XI in Antigua.

The first match of the two-Test tour starts in Dominica next Wednesday.

The 33-year-old Pakistani-born tweaker made the perfect start to his audition for this game, snaring a wicket with just his fifth ball.

He then secured the only wicket to fall in the post-lunch session, bowling

Rajendra Chandrika (74) with a straight and quick delivery.

"He bowled pretty well in patches. A few loose ones here and there but you're going to get that with a wrist spinner," Hazlewood said of Ahmed.
