Springfield's missing millionaire claims his prize
IT TOOK 12 days but the missing Springfield millionaire has finally come forward to Golden Casket to claim their $1 million division one prize.
The retired Brisbane man, who wished to remain anonymous, said he was aware of his new millionaire status since the day after the July 8 Gold Lotto draw.
"I actually checked the Wednesday Gold Lotto results in the newspaper the next morning," he said.
"As I looked at them, I thought that's my number, that's my number as well and that one too. Before I knew it, I had them all!
"My wife and I have everything we need so we'll be sharing this prize money with our children!"
The winning four-game marked entry was purchased at Nextra Orion at Orion Springfield Shopping Centre.
Throughout Australia, there were four entries that won a first division prize in the draw, each worth $1,000,000. There were two winning entries from Queensland and the other two winning entries were purchased in South Australia.
