St George cops nab six on drug charges

ST GEORGE police have charged six people with various drug charges after local police continued their scourge on narcotics in the region.

On May 25, St George police executed a search warrant at an address on Scott St, where they allegedly located marijuana and drug utensils.

A 23-year-old from New South Wales was charged and is scheduled to appear in St George Magistrates Court for drug offences.

Two days later, police attended a Church St address where they allegedly found a 35-year-old smoking marijuana. She was issued a notice to appear in St George court.

The following day, St George police found a 34-year-old man walking along Church St. Police struck up a conversation with the man and allegedly found marijuana on his person.

He has been issued with a notice to appear in St George Magistrates Court for drug offences.

Later on May 29, St George police intercepted a 43-year-old male driving along Roe St.

The car was searched and police allegedly found marijuana and a drug utensil. He is due to appear in court at a later day.

On May 30, St George police executed a search warrant at a home on Church St, the culmination of a protracted drug investigation.

As a result, a 38-year-old St George woman was arrested and issued a notice to appear in Dalby Magistrates Court for dangerous drug trafficking and supply.
