BUNDY Bowl and Leisure director Peter McElligott has been bowled over with relief after locating his almost 2.5m high tenpin mascot "Gazza" which was stolen from Kendalls Flat yesterday morning.

Mr McElligott received a call from Katrina White last night, who found the mascot and its trailer dumped near her home on Alice St, Walkervale.

The Alice St address is a 3.5km, seven minute drive from Kendall's Flat where the tenpin and its trailer were stole yesterday.

"I was heading out at about 9pm to go to the shops and when I came back the tenpin was sitting just up the road," Ms White said.

"I couldn't believe it.

The kids and I had heard about how it was missing on the radio so I ran inside the house and told them about it and they didn't believe me at first."

Mr McElligott said he was relieved and thankful to Ms White and her family, who kept Gazza safe over night for him to collect the next morning.

"I am just so grateful," he said.

" A lot of kids and adults have grown up with Gazza. He is a bit of an icon so it is great to have him returned."

Ms White and her family have received a Bundy Bowl and Leisure voucher valued at 100 free games for their efforts in helping locate Gazza Tenpin.
