Stolen to store socks?

WHY? is the question on the lips of Bundaberg Police as they scratch their heads after an unlikely crime was committed in North Bundaberg.

Did the thieves need somewhere to store their underwear and socks?

At this stage it is unsure, but one household is missing a tallboy after it was stolen from a Marks St address.

A police spokesman said the chest of drawers was taken from the property between August 27 - 31 and at least two offenders would have been needed to remove it from the unit.

" It is rare for people to steal items of furniture particularly this size," he said.

If anyone has seen anyone with this piece of furniture they should contact Bundaberg CIB 41539111 or Crimestoppers 1800 333 000.
