Thieves break into Roma businesses by removing flyscreen

Flyscreen removed

A Roma business was nearly broken into on McDowall Street and the culprits are still on the loose.

Roma police Constable Rory Akermanis said the flyscreens were removed in an attempt to enter the premises between 6.30pm on March 17 and 6am the next day.

“Flyscreens are easy to get off,” Constable Akermanis said.

He is reminding people to secure all windows because they can be a target for thieves.

Another flyscreen removed

Unknown offenders have broken into a Queen Street business between 5pm on March 18 and 8.50am the next day.

Constable Akermanis said they pulled off a flyscreen and forced entry through a sliding window.
