Thieves hit Fort Knox, walk away with $27k of gold, silver
MORE than $27,000 worth of gold and silver has been taken from Fort Knox Storage on Dalrymple Dr, Toolooa after a storage space was unlawfully entered this week with a key.
The owner reported the missing items - Perth Mint gold coins worth $16,500, Canadian maple leaf silver coins worth $2500, a West Australia silver bullion ingot worth $1500 and West Australian silver bullion worth $6500 - to police on Tuesday after they were taken between 1pm and 1.30pm.
A second break and enter was reported at Clinton after a hole was cut in a security door and $50 taken.
