Toowoomba man allegedly behind child sex doll import

A TOOWOOMBA man is one of five men across Queensland facing up to 10 years' jail for importing made-to-order child sex dolls.

The Sunday Mail reports pedophiles are the main alleged offenders in importing life-like sex dolls from China which weigh about 15kg and stand about 1m tall.

The paper reports charges against a Toowoomba man - one of five in the state after raids since last September - was mentioned in court in December, adjourned over to hearings later this year.

The dolls reportedly cost about $1000 and according to the Sunday Mail, can have their "anatomy made-to-order".

The cases are not connected, and the men are not believed to have had access to children.

Australian Border Force and Queensland Police raided the Toowoomba property around the same time as properties in north Queensland, Hervey Bay and Fortitude Valley, during which computers and other devices were reportedly seized.
