Top acts ready to steal the spotlight

THOSE in attendance at this year's Delicious and Delightful Festival will be spoilt for choice when it comes to entertainment options.

The two-day event has booked a range of performers that will keep both the young and old engaged.

Organiser Beth Wood said the performances were must-see attractions.

"We have a group called Fiesta Creations who are fire dancers, then we have a group from England who should be great as well,” MsWood said.

"Fiesta Creations are very versatile, they do some stilt walking stuff and they do some fire dancing.

"Their fire twirling is amazing.

"We have a Latin band Chukale who should be awesome.

"In the kids' area we have Tim Jackman who is a children's entertainer, who will be performing during the afternoon on Saturday.”

Ms Wood is also excited at the prospect of the spotlight shining on Dalby residents.

"The local Filipino dancers that have performed at all of our festivals and have been amazing will be there.

"They do a Filipino stick dance and are always favourites with the crowd.

"We're hoping to get the Southern Star Academy of Dance involved, because they had students do well in a recent competition overseas so we'd like to promote them.”
