Treating your mum this weekend in the Murweh

ONCE again, Mother's Day is just around the corner and creating the perfect occasion to shower our mums with gratitude can seem a little daunting.

For some mums, Mother's Day would not be the same without breakfast in bed, for others it's a trip to the movies, a picnic in the park or a dining out experience.

Culinary delights will be on offer this Mother's Day with Charleville RSL's two-course lunch or dinner for $25.

Starting from noon, the RSL team will be serving a two-course meal of main and dessert.

For main there will be a choice of salmon or chicken served with salad or vegetables.

As a special treat to honour the occasion, there will be a complimentary glass of bubbly on arrival for all the mums.

Lunch will be served from 12-2pm and dinner from 6-8pm this Sunday.

Reservations are preferable but the RSL will accept walk-ins.

You can also start your Mother's Day celebrations early and enjoy entertainment with Craig McAllen from 3-6pm on Saturday.

Looking for the perfect gift for mum? Head to Charleville Cottage Flowers and Garden.

The store has just received a new range of flowers featuring some beautiful roses and bouquets, with plenty of options for all the mums out there.

If your mum has a bit of a sweet tooth, you can even arrange for a flower and chocolate bouquet to be made.

The store also has plenty of gift options such as teacups and saucers, hand creams, diffusers, scented candles, aprons and tea towels.

Charleville Cottage Flowers and Garden will be open on Saturday 8am-5pm and 8am-noon on Sunday.

Place your flower orders early to avoid missing out on your mum's favourite blooms.

Made in Murweh, a shop selling handmade goods and run by the Charleville Cultural Association, has plenty of options of goodies for your mum.

Locally-made jewellery, candles, trinkets and other items could provide the perfect gift.

If you're unsure what to get, there are also gift cards available so mum can get exactly what she wants.

Remember to spoil your mum this Sunday.
