Tully's lovely MKR surprise

SARAH Tully never thought she'd be expecting her first baby when she applied to go on My Kitchen Rules with her best mate Della Whearty.

The 'foodie friends' face their biggest challenge so far on the reality cooking show tonight: serving up 16 hungry dinner guests a three-course meal at their ultimate instant restaurant.

The women are out for redemption after serving up raw quail during their first instant restaurant.

As if the day wasn't stressful enough already, the episode was filmed just after the Quilpie native, who now lives in Brisbane with her husband Kurt, found out she was pregnant.

"No it was not a planned pregnancy... but it was a lovely surprise nonetheless," she said.

"I can really see the difference in myself pre-pregnancy on the show and the moment I discovered I was pregnant. I look a little bit like a deer in headlights, like 'Oh my God what am I doing?' I don't recommend anyone film a reality TV show and be in those early stages of pregnancy."

Luckily Sarah had her best mate at her side through a marathon day of filming and cooking.

"I was pretty sick during that filming day, so it was a rough day on the tools for me," she said.

"It was just really hard being pregnant and on your feet from 7am until pretty much 7am the following morning."

"Luckily I had Della and she was a powerhouse."

Sarah, whose baby is due in July, said she has been overwhelmed with support from the viewing public.

"People love babies, and that really shows in all the positive words people have sent me," she said.

"I really appreciate it and I've had a really nice time. I'm feeling really good...that's right, my baby rules."

Sarah and Della's ultimate instant restaurant airs tonight at 7pm on Channel 7.
