Two flights declare mid-air emergencies over France

A Ryanair flight from Liverpool to Spain and a Germanwings flight from Dusseldorf to Faro have both been redirected.

Both planes are heading to Bordeaux airport after declaring mid-air emergencies.

There were initial reports the planes were diverted due to in-air disruptions but it now appears the cause was passengers falling ill on board the flights.
