VIDEO: Qantas shows beauty of Australia before take off
TAKING a leaf out of the books from the cross-Tasman competitors, Qantas has created a safety video that's a bit of fun to watch.
Passengers will watch a five-and-a-half minute video showing 16 locations across Australia, including Hamilton Island, Bondi Beach, Alice Springs and a hang-glider coasts above Stanwell Tops in New South Wales and Cradle Mountain in Tasmania.
"The video highlights some of Australia's most unique scenery and beautiful, lesser known locations," the airline wrote on Facebook.
As with all safety videos, travellers are given details about the plane they are on, how to apply an oxygen mask, when and why to put on seatbelts, and where to find the lifejacket.
The clever video even includes instructions on what to do during an emergency by demonstrating them as a mock yoga class.
Air New Zealand has famously pioneered the unusual and clever safety videos using All Blacks Rugby Union players and actors from Lord of the Rings.
