Wanted man caught in Roma, allegedly damages watch-house
A man who’s been wanted for multiple warrants has finally been caught by police, but has been accused of going on a rampage in the watch-house after being taken into custody.
Roma police senior constable Lea Warren said the 32-year-old man was caught drinking in a public place in Roma at 3.10pm on December 31, 2020.
“He was then also charged with possession of utensils or pipes used in the connection of dangerous drugs,” senior constable Warren alleged.
“Whilst in the watch-house, he damaged watch-house property and was charged with wilful damage.
“He spat and threw food around the walls and floor.
“He was kept in custody and he went to court this morning and was released.”
His matter was adjourned to the Roma Magistrates Court on January 11, 2021.
