WATCH: Snake found under urinal in Maroochydore hotel
WHEN YOU GOTTA GO, YOU GOTTA GO…. EVEN SNAKESRichie was called to the Waterfront Hotel in Maroochydore where he found a snake perched under the urinal in the mens toilets. The snake was quite concealed so anyone could have gone for a number one and not even noticed it. Luckily it was a harmless Common Tree Snake and not something venomous. It was quite hot outside so I suspect it was after somewhere cool to escape the heat of the day. Cool tiled bathrooms and toilets provide the perfect place for snakes to do this so it's a good idea to keep your doors closed and have screens where possible in Queensland. Enjoy the video everyone. -Ross-

PICTURE this: You're down the pub having a few cold ones on a hot day.
You hear the call of nature, so head to the men's room, only to find a snake hiding under the urinal.
Aparently nature got the call too.
Snake catcher 24/7 Ritchie Gilbert, from Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7, was called to the Waterfront Hotel in Maroochydore earlier in the week to remove a common tree snake from its perch under a urinal.
"Most people wouldn't notice that," he said in a recording of the capture.
"He's just a little tree snake but if he was something a bit more severe and you came and stood here to do your business, and it was a little eastern brown snake and it whacked you on the knee that would be nasty."
Mr Gilbert captured the snake and relocated it to a more natural habitat.
A tip from the snake catchers: tiled bathrooms make the pefect place for snakes to keep cool on hot days so it's a good idea to keep doors and windows closed if you'd prefer not to have company while you're doing your business.
