
Welcome rain to drizzle over southwest this week
A fresh round of rain has poured down on Southwest Queensland early in the new year, but the area may not have a sunny day for the rest of the week.
The Bureau of Meteorology is recording a 70 per cent chance of rain for the rest of today, January 4, in Roma, with a likely storm.
And the mercury will be reaching a high of 35C despite the wet weather.
Showers are forecast for the rest of the week too, with a 90 per cent chance of rain and up to 25mm falling on Wednesday, January 6.
BOM has already recorded 3.6mm of rain for Roma so far today.
Charleville has received a fair shower too, with 2.2mm being recorded so far today.
But during the week, the weather will be a bit more mild for Charleville with only 10mm expected to fall on Wednesday, January 6.
The sun is expected to come out again on Thursday, January 7 with only a 20 per cent chance of rain every day of the week after that.
