WINX's part-owner Peter Tighe has indicated a tilt at a historic fourth Cox Plate win at Moonee Valley could be the superstar's main mission for 2018.

Tighe said that going overseas was not the top priority for the mare.

He said connections had fielded offers from across the globe, including Ireland and England.

"I wouldn't go booking tickets just yet to go overseas," Tighe said.

"I would be happy for her to come back to the Valley and have a crack at another Cox Plate."

Winx equalled Kingston Town's record of three consecutive Cox Plate wins in a stirring victory over Humidor on October 28.

Trainer Chris Waller and her connections have mentioned before that if she was to go overseas it would be next year, with the Royal Ascot carnival in June the main target.

Winx has now won 22 races in a row and is just three short of matching Black Caviar's 25-win streak.

Winx had five starts during the spring, culminating in her long-neck Cox Plate win.

Tighe said he was worried when Humidor loomed to defeat her but as she always does, she found a way to win.

Waller intends to bring Winx back for the Sydney autumn carnival but other than that no firm plans have been broadcast.

Royal Ascot's Nick Smith was in Melbourne for the spring carnival and made contact with the six-year-old mare's connections.

Udyta Clarke, trainer of Rich Charm, was named the Victorian Racing Media Association personality of the year.
