Woman allegedly abused and assaulted patrons at pub

Police were called to a licensed venue over the weekend after a woman allegedly

Roma officers allege at 12.30am on Saturday, December 19 a 48-year-old Wyandra woman was verbally abusing and assaulting patrons.

Officers obtained the woman’s details and ordered her to move on from the venue.

Not long after, a 23-year-old Mareeba man was arrested for refusing to co-operate with police.

About 1am, police were called to a licensed venue due to the man’s intoxicated and abusive behaviour.

He was allegedly rejected from the hotel and was caught on CCTV footage having drinks over the fence and consuming alcohol on the footpath.

After allegedly contravening a move on direction, officers arrested the man and he was taken back to the watch house.

He was later released on bail and will front the Roma Magistrates Court on January 19, 2021.
