Woman allegedly steals car keys and drives off through Roma

A woman who has been charged with fraud has now allegedly stolen someone’s keys and drove off with the vehicle.

Roma police Constable Rory Akermanis said the 38-year-old woman is accused of stealing a debit card and used it on three occasions at a service station between February 5 and 12.

She was charged with three counts of stealing and three counts of fraud.

The same woman allegedly took a set of car keys without the owner’s permission and drove the car off from the Bowen Street address between 4.30pm and 10.30pm on March 13.

“She’s taken the car without the owner’s permission, so she got charged,” Constable Akermanis said.

She was then charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

The woman will appear in the Roma Magistrates Court on March 31.
