Woman rushed to hospital with snake bite

BREAKING: A woman was rushed to hospital overnight after she was bitten by a snake near Toowoomba.

Queensland Ambulance Service was called to a home on the Warrego Hwy near Kingsthorpe, just west of Toowoomba, about 9.10pm.

A woman had reportedly been bitten by a snake. No details were available on the type of snake.

The woman aged in her 50s was taken in a stable condition to Toowoomba Hospital for further assessment.
