Search for missing Gatton teen turns to Facebook

UPDATE: As the search for missing teenager Jayde Kendall continues a Facebook page has been set up to help locate her.

The page called "Help Find Jayde" was created to help find locate the teen and has attracted thousands of likes.

Police have appealed for public assistance to help locate the 16-year-old who was last seen in Highview Ave, Gatton around 3.15pm on Friday, August 14.

Concerns are held for her wellbeing as this is out of character and Jayde has not contacted family or friends since this time.

Anyone with information in relation to the current whereabouts of Jayde is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

MONDAY: Posters pleading for any information on missing teenager Jayde Kendall have been put up across Gatton.

Jayde, 16, was last seen in Highview Ave about 3.15pm Friday.

Her family have concerns about her wellbeing, and said it was out of character for Jayde to not make contact.

The plea for information from her family and police has been shared to the Australian Missing Persons Register on Facebook in an effort to locate Jayde.

The post said Jayde was last seen leaving the Lockyer District High School walking along the street to her after-school job at McDonald's.

The post said Jayde had spoken to her boss Friday morning, and had left her work uniform at the restaurant ready for her that afternoon.

She did not arrive for her shift that afternoon.

Jayde is described as Caucasian, 155cm tall with brown hair, green eyes and a proportionate build.

Anyone with information in relation to the current whereabouts of Jayde is urged to contact Police Link on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
