Eww, he kept his drug stash hidden WHERE?
A man caught with drugs hidden in a condom tin has been placed on a good behaviour bond.
Cooper Lewis Jones, 21, pleaded guilty in Rockhampton Magistrates Court today after being caught with the drugs at a party.
The court heard in August this year police attended a Rockhampton address to respond to a noise complaint.
Police could smell cannabis smoke and proceeded to search the house.
A search of the defendant found a condom tin with a clip sealed bag inside containing MDMA.
He admitted to police he'd taken some earlier and was currently under the influence.
The man's defence lawyer told the court, his client had deferred his Business and Accounting degree to travel to Canada on a two year working visa and had simply made a youthful mistake.
Magistrate Michael O'Driscoll however said the offending was not a youthful mistake but "dumb stupidity".
Jones was handed down a $500 good behaviour bond with a period of 12 months and must attend drug diversion therapy.
